Historical Roads around the Philippines
Travel has a different meaning and different purpose for different people.
A corporation based in the Philippines, NLEX Corporation has always been consistent and progressive in prioritizing the needs of the motorists, giving them the freedom to move-where, when and how they want it.
The Kennon Road
The Kennon Road plays a major in achieving Baguio's success as a city. This highway was the fruitful work of local and foreign workers under Col. L. W. Kennon which contributed a lot to improved access to Baguio and other connecting places.
Roads may be altered, but their function never changes: they are developed to tend to the needs of society. An example is the Arkong Bato in Valenzuela City, which used to be the boundary between Rizal and Bulacan. Despite it having been turned into the landmark dividing the cities of Valenzuela and Malabon, its purpose as a symbolic structure remains.
Mt. Samat Road
Behind every road is a story waiting to be told; stories of past events that could never be witnesses in one of the landmarks in Bataan, the historical Mt. Samat, which is now more accessible with the roads that provide more convenient travel for tourists and locals alike.
